Best three laptops you can get for less than 30,000 kshs

You should be able to buy the best laptop that suits all your computing needs. At the same time price should be considered especially if you are on a budget

Not everyone can afford to buy expensive laptops, but that doesn’t mean that you have to settle for substandard performance from a laptop in terms of design, power and battery life. Many believe that for you to buy an efficient laptop you have to be on a 40,000 Kshs and above budget.

Well, this is simply not true. Buying a new laptop requires a lot of research – you should be able to buy the best laptop that suits all your computing needs. At the same time price should be considered especially if you are on a budget.

Most people are average computer users meaning they use their computer for the following reasons:

  1. Editing Documents
  2. Watching Videos, Movies and listening to Music
  3. Playing Casual Games
  4. Internet Browsing
  5. Basic media editing
  6. Sending and Receiving emails

If you use your computer for the above reasons, then chances are you don’t have to buy a very expensive laptop because you wont be fully utilizing its resources. It’s a waste of money buying a gaming laptop yet you only use it to access social media. Instead you can save a lot of money and opt for an affordable laptop.

Being on a budget also doesn’t mean you have to settle for refurbished or second hand laptops. There are several brand new laptops that go for less than 30,000 Kshs.

If you are an average computer user or you are on a budget and you are looking for a new laptop, here are the best three laptops you can get below 30,000 Kshs.

Note that just because you are an average user still doesn’t mean that you cannot run heavy programs like Photoshop, Cyberlink power director or Android Studio on this laptop. They will still work but relatively slower as compare to more expensive laptops. For instance at some point when i was in campus, i had a netbook which uses a very basic processor and i still used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator on it. I also know of many people who are taking courses like Computer Science and Programming and they use the laptops above.

Tip: When it comes to using your money, be very aware of what you are buying

  • Hmm 2GB and 500GB is more than enough for the average user. Nice compilation just one question how about the USB ports, how many per laptop?

    • Thanks for the feedback Dominic. The post has been updated with the number of USB ports for each laptop

  • Why didn’t you do this earlier? Lovely post..informative and objective

hi ken, does it make sense for an average user to get an i5 or i7 processor?

    • Hello Ciru. Brand new i5’s and i7’s go for 50,000 Kshs and above so i think it’s not wise to buy such a machine if you are a normal user. You can save some money and settle for a core i3 machine.
